Let’s be honest: polin’ ain’t easy. You slip, you’re prone to bruises, you can’t quite get the grip on that one move… But it wouldn’t be a decent workout without a little struggle, right? Pole fitness allows a woman to get a full-body work-out with a bit of acrobatic skill, creativity and personality. But we all have to start somewhere. It’s perfectly fine if you’ve got a bit of a sweaty palm. There are products out there to help you in your next session. And here’s the kicker: poling and aerial products are available right in our studio and online store!
Gripping Aids
Gripping aid products are available from powders to gloves. Best for people with sweaty palms.
Powder: Mighty Grip is a light and odorless powder that stabilizes grip. The no-slip aid can be applied to the hands, feet thighs and the backs of the legs. A little advice for those new to the product: Mighty Grip is activated by body heat, so it’s best to apply after your stretches and warm-ups. The warmer the body, the better it works!
At about $12 a bottle, Mighty Grip can be used for 150 applications.
Mighty Grip is also available in a “Special Formula” designed for chiller settings for a faster acting quick release.

Gloves: Mighty Grip also has a line of gloves specialized for better stabilization. These come in handy for super sweaty hands that don’t work well the line’s powder form. Mighty Grip gloves also prevent callouses from developing on the hands.
To be fair, it’s necessary to mention that these gloves are tight-fitting. When ordering your next pair, don’t panic — this is the norm. Gloves for pole fitness are designed to be a bit tight-fitting to prevent slippage during your workout. To further prevent slipping, it’s recommended to apply a small amount of Mighty Grip to your hands before putting on the gloves.

Protectors — Bruises are quite common in pole fitness. Because pole maneuvers require little clothing, there’s nothing to protect the softer parts of the body necessary to grip the ope (wrists, ankles, inner thighs, etc…).
Ankle Protectors: Ankles are crucial for pole stabilization. Respectapole sells ankle protectors on its online store. The ankle protectors have tack and allow you to push up with your legs. This type of protection can be helpful for beginning and more advanced polers. Like to pole with shoes? Respectapole’s online store offers a protecter with an open ankle to reduce pain and bruising.
